Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the services of the American Institute of Applied AI ("AIAAI," "we," "us," or "our"), including our website, certification programs, and verification services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services.

These Terms apply to all users, including learners, certificate holders, employers, training partners, and website visitors.

About AIAAI

AIAAI is a private professional certification organization. We set standards for AI professional competency, authorize training partners, and issue credentials to individuals who successfully complete authorized training programs.

Our Services

AIAAI provides the following services:

• Certification Standards: We develop and maintain standards defining competencies for various AI disciplines.
• Partner Authorization: We vet and authorize training providers to deliver programs leading to AIAAI certification.
• Certificate Issuance: We issue certificates to individuals who successfully complete authorized training programs.
• Verification Services: We provide tools for employers and others to verify the authenticity of AIAAI certificates.
• Information Resources: We provide information about AI certifications, careers, and our programs through our website.

Certification Terms

Earning Certification

AIAAI certifications are earned by successfully completing a training program delivered by an authorized AIAAI training partner. AIAAI does not deliver training directly. Requirements for successful completion are determined by the certification standards and administered by training partners.

Certificate Ownership

Upon earning an AIAAI certification, you receive a certificate and the right to represent yourself as holding that certification. You may include the certification on your resume, LinkedIn profile, and similar professional materials.

Accurate Representation

Certificate holders must accurately represent their certifications. You may not claim certifications you have not earned, misrepresent the nature or scope of your certification, or imply endorsement by AIAAI beyond the certification itself.

Certificate Revocation

AIAAI reserves the right to revoke certifications for cause, including but not limited to:

• Fraud or misrepresentation in obtaining the certification
• Misrepresentation of the certification after issuance
• Conduct that brings the certification program into disrepute
• Violation of these Terms

Certificate revocation decisions may be appealed through our governance process.

No Expiration

AIAAI certificates do not expire. However, certificate holders are encouraged to pursue ongoing professional development to maintain current knowledge and skills.

Partner Terms

Training partners are subject to separate Partnership Agreements that govern the authorization relationship. Key points include:

• Partners must meet and maintain quality standards established by AIAAI
• Partners must use approved curriculum (Standard Partners) or have their curriculum approved (Custom Partners)
• Partners must accurately represent their relationship with AIAAI
• Partners may not imply that AIAAI is responsible for training delivery or outcomes
• Partnership may be terminated for failure to meet standards or violation of the Partnership Agreement

Verification Services

Our verification service allows anyone with a valid verification code to confirm the authenticity of an AIAAI certificate. By using the verification service, you agree to:

• Use verification results only for legitimate purposes (e.g., employment verification)
• Not attempt to access information beyond what is displayed in verification results
• Not use automated tools to mass-verify certificates without authorization

Verification results reflect certificate status at the time of verification and may change if certificates are subsequently revoked.

Intellectual Property

All content on the AIAAI website, including text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of AIAAI or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.

Trademarks

AIAAI, American Institute of Applied AI, and our logo are trademarks of AIAAI. You may not use these trademarks without our prior written permission, except as necessary to accurately describe your certification status (e.g., "AIAAI Certified in Applied AI Engineering").

Limited License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use our website for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from our content without permission.

Disclaimers

AIAAI PROVIDES SERVICES "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

• Our services will be uninterrupted or error-free
• Certification will result in employment or specific career outcomes
• Information on our website is complete, accurate, or current
• Training partners will meet your expectations

Third-Party Services

Training is delivered by independent training partners, not by AIAAI. We are not responsible for the quality, content, or outcomes of training delivered by partners. Disputes regarding training should be addressed with the relevant training partner.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, AIAAI AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.

IN NO EVENT SHALL AIAAI'S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU HAVE PAID TO AIAAI (IF ANY) IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by posting notice on our website and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
